RC Chapter 4: The Masters
The room is stuffy; the smell of socks and gym clothes permeate the entire space. He pulls his legs to his chest; his gym bag is lodged in between. He draws a long breath and screams quietly into it. His whole body is shaking with rage. Valerie Romanov, you little bitch!

"Oi, Greasy! Are you dead?"

A shout comes from outside accompanied by giggles. He springs up. He can't tell what year it is but it's definitely his school years. He is in the gym locker room, probably passed out on the cold floor the whole night before. This is his younger body but his consciousness is his 27-year-old self. His mind is still muddled both by the time travel and the thumping in his head.

He picks up his bag and the books that are scattered around. He tucks in his shirt, hand smoothing his crinkled shirt. He combs through his hair with his fingers, feeling a sticky substance matted with it. He winces at the sharp pain he feels at the back of his head.

When he reaches the door, it springs open with a bunch of boys his age waiting outside. One of them is a burly blond. His smile is blinding.

"Thank you for your bravery, Greasy. No wait. I should call you by your name properly from now on. What's your name again?"

The blond chimes, wrapping his arm around the bloodied boy.

"Sebastian.. Sebastian Fleiss" he answers, gritting his teeth.

"Sebby... I had some restraint on you before, partly because you're a bit creepy at times. But looking at how you handled things last night, maybe we can work something out for you."

Sebastian scoffs at his choice of nickname. That is an upgrade from being called greasy. He reaches for the blond's wrist, peeking at his watch but the boy quickly snaps his hand away.

"It's 8.. Do you have anything for me to do or am I free to go?" Sebastian asks the blond. He still struggles remembering the name. Sebastian cocks his head again, urging the blond for a direction.

"Why are you so eager to leave? You were the one begging to join us last night or is that out of the table now?" the blond retorts, curiosity laced with annoyance.

Sebastian looks around trying to reconstruct what ever bit of memory he could remember. February 2003, he managed to see that date from the blond's watch. He is about to finish high school in a few weeks. The only significant thing he could remember happened in this year is him finally going back to Larkins to meet his maternal family. And before he could do that, he beg the school varsity to allow him to tag along to their final game in Lennox High School. He knows what will happen when he go there so there is no reason why he would risk his sanity to follow around this bunch of bully just for glimpse of that esteemed school.

He feels a tug at his shoulder. The blond is looking at him with a scowl.

"I said, you can follow us. As our waterboy" he says, a winning smile creeps slowly on his face. ignoring the blond, Sebastian proceeds to walk pass them.

"I decline." he says.
