Kim was standing in front of the gigantic gate, still clutching her bag so tightly while waiting for Kie. She glanced at her watch several times before mumbling under her frozen breath. She wrapped her hands around her body and lied against the wall. She sighed, grabbed a chocolate bar from her bag and stuffed it down her throat. Kie’s definitely forgot about their plan again. So much for her effort running to her dandy friend just to wait outside, at the freezing road with nothing to eat but chocolate bars. It was a hundred percent sure that she is still sleeping in her luxurious pink bed under the warm blanket without even the slightest guilt.
‘I’m going to kill you Kie!!!!!’ her voice beaming in her head. She stepped back to see the big mansion in front of her. Kie’s room should be on the second floor facing to the road. The window with pink curtain is definitely hers. Kim sighed. Again...
Right before Kim unwrap her second chocolate bar down came a boy (on a bicycle) knocking her on the snow. Kim’s face was covered with melted snow.
“You!!! Don’t let me catch you...you...you idiotic mule!” she screamed her lungs out while kicking the ground.
“What are you doing down there?” said Kie, standing by the door with a usual cool look. She pulled Kim up on her feet and then wiped Kim’s dirty hands with her silk handkerchief.
“Oh nothing... I’m just testing whether the road is hard enough” kicking the ground a few times “yea...perfectly hard enough!” Kim replied sarcastically. Kie laughed at Kim’s distress expression.
“Ok, ok. I’m sorry. Why don’t we get inside and grab some hot coffee?”
Kim stared at Kie, looking irritated. “Don’t let me wait for you again or I’ll kill you. Get it?” she pointed her finger to Kie’s face.
Kie held up her hand with her innocent look. “Promise”. That was about the hundred times she promised her but it was always a great amusement to see Kim like that. They walked through the ice-covered garden towards the main door.
“ ..And I want hot chocolate...” said Kim.
“Yes... will do.” She smiled as always.
